Either is correct - take your pick. Regardless of your choice of spelling, it applies to this blogpost.
I've recently been making cards with Niece Terri and her mom, Friend Joey, and I wanted to send them something, but too many photos for email. This way, I can show them all at one time, and they can refer back to this post if they wish. Cardmakers might want to use this layout I saw on YouTube and found very verstile, as well as economical as it uses only one 6" x 6" piece of designer paper. Okay, Terri and Joey, listen up.
Project 1
This is the card I showed you.
Or as Halloween cards
If you wish to emboss, do it after creating the chevron and before attaching that layer to the cardbase.

Two more examples, with an extra layer. (Uh, oh. I just realized the butterfly lost a gem. I'll fix it.)
An easier version is to cut the designer paper 1/4" smaller and then it's easier to place the triangles.
I made a lot of guy cards like this in 2023.
Here's a lesson I'd like to share. One day I found myself moping around the house, couldn't stay awake, had a gassy, bloated tummy, and just felt all around lousy. I spent most of the day on the couch, napping and staring at the TV.
The next day I looked like this from my neck down to my legs, and it itched like mad. By the end of the day, it traveled on down my legs and even on my feet.
After much Googling and talking with Niece Terri, we decided that I had developed a food allergy to pecans. I really love them, and I ate a handful the night before the tummy problem; another handful the night of the tummy but before the rash, and I was eating them when I realized they were probably the problem. I've never had a food allergy, and I probably would never have had one if I hadn't made a pig of myself, but I do love pecans.
I decided the tummy problem was the warning shot across the bow, so take heed the next time you experience stomach discomfort and take stock of what you've been eating. Just saying.
And now I shall clean up this card mess and get some neglected housework and yardwork underway.
